From 5th November, only essential care and maintenance work may be undertaken at EP. This is defined as work on behalf of NDSME Ltd. All private projects must, until further notice, be undertaken at home only and not at Eaton Park in ordere to comply with the law. All public operations have also ceased until further notice
Member James McDonell becomes the second driver to pass the new public operations drivers assessment. Charlie Riches was the first last October. As new members join they will undergo the same assessment. Existing “”grandfather rights” drivers will also eventually undergo an assessment.
If you haven’t already expressed you opinion on the A3 please do so asap as the consultation will close soon…
Thx to all those that have
Mike Riches has stepped down as a director of ndsme. He remains as a valued member of the public ops team.
Reg Day, formerly a long time member of ndsme, passed away on the 22nd September.
Reg’s funeral will be at 1.45 pm on Friday 23rd October, at Gorleston Crematorium.
The family has requested that no flowers be sent, but they would be pleased to forward any donations to the Care Home, who so carefully and lovingly looked after Reg over the last eight months. I will advise you of its name shortly for cheque contributions.
Because of the current Covid regulations, 30 is the maximum number allowed to attend, a large family contingent is expected and so space will be very limited. It is intended that I will attend to represent ndsme.
NDSME AGM 2020
The AGM was originally proposed for August 2020 but coronavirus has delayed that. The committee is currently debating a suitable revised date and venue and will keep you informed of progress. The meeting date is almost certain to be in early November, most probably on a Saturday.
In order to expedite the meeting date the committee are requesting that any nominations for the committee and officers be sent to any committee member asap.
Nominees (if any) will have the opportunity (if they wish) to meet with existing committee members in order to explain what they can offer to the Society and what would be expected of them if elected. This will provide helpful guidance to the Members when voting at the AGM.
NB If you are currently a Junior Member, a Prospective Member or an Associate of a member, please disregard this posting.
Following a recent re-organisation Mr A Shirley is no longer the Membership Secretary. In the meantime, please refer all membership queries to email@example.com

- The new boiler for the Dyak loco has arrived at EP and is currently undergoing a post delivery inspection.
- Mr A Shirley has now left the Board (committee)
- The society is actively considering how, where and when the AGM may take place. This is a frustrating task as we have no way of knowing what CV19 precautions we will have to implement at the time.
